Gabriela Kurtz has been a fitness enthusiast for over 10 years and a personal trainer for just over a year. She has a passion for empowering women and helping others. “Ever since I was little I knew I was meant to help people. Now, I teach women how to be the strongest versions of themselves through diet and exercise,” she said.

Gabriela used our GM5004 Eight Position on station 4- the Lat Pull Down Station located at Workshop Gym in Fullerton, California. She felt that the Lat Pull Down Station was smooth, and she appreciated the simplicity and ease of the equipment. “I have used many different types of Lat pull down machines throughout the years. Some by the leading manufacturers for gym equipment, and others that are designed/manufactured by big gym corporations to be ‘special,’” she explained. “What I’ve learned is that there is beauty in simplicity when it comes to machines and equipment. The Bodykore Lat pull down is straight to the point and smooth like butter. The weight system goes up by 10lbs, which is easier to deal with than machines that have bigger jumps in weight. This design truly makes it easier for each individual to reach their fitness goals, without over complicating things”.

Gabriela has provided us with some tips for you on how to use the equipment. She first explained the form one should take before performing any exercise. “Set your desired weight and make sure your hands are evenly spread out, slightly outside of shoulder width,” she says. “Sit down and make sure your legs are being held down by the padding”

Next, she explained how to engage the lat muscles and which other muscles you will feel during the workout. “Once you’re comfortable, staple your lats down to activate the muscle and bring your elbows to your side, all while engaging your core and arching your back. You should feel the contraction in the sides of your upper back and a little bit in the biceps.”

Lastly, Gabriela gave us a detailed explanation of how to finish the movement. “After you reach the bottom position, control the movement on the way up and stack your body straight with your arms up. Keep your elbows slightly bent at the top and make sure not to break the engagement in your back.” Click here to find GM5004 Eight Position .
