Post Event Coverage: The Los Angeles Fitness Expo Day 1

The first day of the two day Los Angeles Fitness Expo has concluded but Team BodyKore was there was to bring you full coverage of the event. There was over 150 vendors exhibiting at the LA Convention Center today, Saturday January 23rd 2010, drawing well over 5,000 guest. BodyBuilding Greats Lou Ferrigno, Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler made special appearances throughout the day. MMA Fighters Thiago Silva, Jake Shields, Christiane “Cyborg” Santos and Urijah Faber were also present at the event. There were also a number of competitions going on throughout the day:
- US Gracie BJJ Nationals and Kid’s World Championship Tournament
- LA Open Martial Arts Competition
- All-American Strong Man Challenge
- Ring Girl Competition
- Bicep Curl Competition

And although I don’t think QJ would reach Chuck’s popularity status right away, I’d assume he could get quite the healthy sponsorship from Xyience, especially if he beats Chuck. I know Rampage makes nice money in Pride, but coming back to fight in the states and for the UFC has greater opportunities than straight cash by the fights. Rampage probably couldn’t make the supposed 2-3 million that Chuck is making w/ all his sponsorships by QJ staying in Pride. He’ll never become a national star in the US that could branch out into other opportunities – movies, shows, etc, that all provide additional forms of income as well.
