Marcos from FightHub TV stopped by BodyShop Fitness Gym in Lakewood, CA to catch Brett Cooper as he trained for the upcoming Bellator Welterweight Tournament. The training session lasted for over two hours starting with strength and conditioning training then grappling and striking techniques. Some of the strength and conditioning training included weight sleds, jumping weight pumps, dumbbell dead lifts, resistance band curls and pullups. The workouts were done in high intensity interval training (HIIT). HIIT can help condition even the best athletes by raising their anaerobic heart rate level and allowing the athlete to train at extremely high levels for longer periods of time and that is extremely important in the sport of MMA. Brett will be making his Bellator debut this Thurs the 22nd on FSN.
