  • CrossFit Games SoCal Regionals 2012

The CrossFit regionals are set to being April 27th across the globe, with the Regionals in Southern California starting off on May 13th-15th in Pomona, California. Athletes and spectators will gather to see CrossFit competition in a more traditional format. There, under the critical eye of Level 1 judges, and in front of hundreds in the cheering sections, the best athletes of the region will prove their fitness.  The games will feature competition ranging with equipment being used such as kettlebells, concept 2 rowers, bumper plates, racks, wall balls etc.

Throughout the course of three days, each Regional will see athletes perform brutal combinations of workouts to test the range and depth of the athletes’ physical and mental capacitates. Athletes will give it their all, and after the end of the weekend, no more than three men, three women, and three teams will receive invitations to the 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games.
For the second year, the format will be the same across regions. Everyone around the world will be able to compare their favorite newcomers with Games veterans, workout for workout, second for second, pound for pound. This will make for an exciting experience for athletes and fans alike.

Each year, fans come in droves and crossed borders to support their favorite athlete, family members, and friends. The same crowds who settled into the dirt hillside of the Ranch with a beer and a love for CrossFit can watch the Aromas-like competition at Regionals. Rain, wind, and record high temperatures will never stop CrossFit fans to show up and support the community.

With the tremendous growth of Crossfit around the world, competition is tough. Phenomenal athletes are coming out of the woodworks everyday. The Regional competitions have become as tough as the way the Games used to be in the early days in Aromas.
The athletes and fans know it’s no small feat to make it anywhere close to the Regional podium. They come out to see their athletes, “marred by dust and sweat and blood,” striving valiantly for their best.

Come join us at the Regionals!
