College Cage Series: Collision in the Cage Event RECAP

Shane Corbin Promotion’s: College Cage Series premiered last night with a night full of MMA Action.  The event, held at the UCI Bren Event Center in Irvine, CA,  featured 8 Pro MMA bouts.  The main event saw the MFC light weight champion Antonio McKee take on team Vitor Belfort veteran Rodrigo Ruiz.  Mckee dominated Ruiz by submitting him with a kimura at 2:01 of the first round.   The card’s Co-Main event was a war between Giva “The Arm Collector” Santana vs. former WEC Champ Lodune Sincaid.  The fighters went back in forth before “The Arm Collector”  took Sincaid down in the third round and pounded him out for a TKO victory.

The event also featured a welter weight clash between season finalist Jason Williams vs. John Mowery and a Lightweight clash between season finalists Mike Christensen and Carlos Aguilar.  John Mowery won a close decision and Mike Christensen submitted Carlos Aguilar in the first round via Rear Naked Choke.  The winner of the bouts receives a two fight “scholarship” with the promotion.

• Jesse Juarez defeated Mauro “Xuxu” Chimento via Rear Naked Choke (3rd Round)
• Felipe Fogilin defeated Rafael Cordeiro via Knee Bar (1st Round)
• John Mowry defeated Jason Williams Unanimous Decision
• Waachiim Spiritwolf defeated Fernando Bettega Unanimous Decision
• Mike Christensen defeated Carlos Aguilar via Rear Naked Choke
• Cody Goodale defeated Ethan Cox via Unanimous Decision
